Metta is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) clinical training program which provides pro bono and low-cost mental health services to underserved individuals, couples, families, and children in order to help them heal from various mental health issues and find their path toward Wellbeing. Services are provided through a training program that utilizes Associates (unlicensed, has master’s/doctor’s degree qualified for licensure & registered with the BBS) and Trainees (unlicensed, currently enrolled in a master’s/doctor’s program) in the fields of Marriage Family Therapy (MFT), Professional Clinical Counselors (PCC), and Clinical Social Workers (CSW).

  • Provide compassionate, culturally competent mental health care and referrals to clients
  • Provide quality supervision to clinicians and staff

By incorporating feedback from our clientele we will continue to lead the way at providing quality mental health care to the underserved and disenfranchised communities.

Organizational Goals

  1. Provide affordable quality culturally competent mental health services to individuals, couples, families, children, & groups with special consideration to Give an Hour Military & Veterans and California Victims Compensation Board clients, utilizing a therapist in the training program.
  2. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, children, and groups, Give an Hour Military & Veterans and victims of crime through the California Victims Compensation Board, in order to improve their well-being.
  3. Sponsor, host and/or participate in events and/or activities that promote mental well-being in the community.
  4. Partner with other nonprofit entities in Los Angeles that can utilize our services for the benefit of our communities.
